Physician, Leader of the Care Team

As soon as you call a physician an MD or DO, they are expected to lead, usually with very little support or training around leadership provided.

Our program for physicians leading their care teams in the delivery of quality care provides the additional support they need.

We are also skilled at helping physicians overcome hidden racial bias in order to improve care outcomes for minority patients. We can help physicians see their bias for what it is, and re-frame their patient experiences to counter subconscious neural pathways and increase the objectivity required for effective patient care.

We all have biases. That doesn’t make us bad people. Now is the time to address these challenges in a safe space and improve care outcomes for all patients, regardless of race or ethnicity.

  • 60-minute coaching sessions every 2-3 weeks over the course of 4-6 months.

  • Includes integration of assessments to increase awareness and build new neural pathways and habits in the areas of the client’s choosing.

  • Client identifies 2-3 areas they would like to focus on for improved outcomes; coach drives process to get the client where they would like to go.

  • Example areas of focus range from more effectively leveraging current strengths to minimizing behaviors that aren’t serving the client well; Goals are identified with measures established and specific strategies and actions formulated.

Outcomes from engagement include increased self-awareness and emotion regulation from evidence based coaching model rooted in the latest neuroscience research, clarity around personal values and confidence in making leadership decisions, and transformation of the inner critic into a more productive ally as an inner challenger.
